No experience is necessary to be successful in this degree.

You’ll learn in an asynchronous format while meeting weekly deadlines. You may also be able to engage in real-time via synchronous virtual sessions and office hours with your instructor or teaching assistants. Classes are 8 weeks and you can expect to spend about 18+ hours a week of study per course.

On average, you should anticipate dedicating approximately 18 hours per week to each course you are taking. You’ll have periods of independent study that are more flexible and group sessions that may be more scheduled.

You can expect a cost of $330 for each credit hour (most courses are 3 credit hours), with a total of 120 credit hours needed to complete the degree program. Your payments will need to be made by the start of classes each semester per UNT Student Accounting deadlines.

You’ll need a minimum of 120 credit hours to earn your Bachelor of Science in General Business from UNT. You’ll undertake 42 core hours, 24 pre-business and professional development hours, 36 advanced business hours, and 15-18 elective hours to achieve your goal.

You will have a dedicated advisor to help you navigate course load. You may earn as many as 9 credit hours during each 8 week session (3 classes). Fall and Spring semesters have two 8 week sessions. The summer semester has one 8 week session that is available for current students in the program.

Yes. There's an application fee of $75 for domestic applicants and $85 for international applicants. Returning UNT students do not need to pay the application fee, but instead apply as a readmit. Learn more

Yes! As a UNT student, you will have the option to come to campus to celebrate in-person. If you are unable to attend in person, there will be a virtual recognition ceremony to honor our graduates.
